How to play

Call The Class is a free game for the people in the stands. For a handful of featured classes each show, you place the top six — same job as the judge, minus the pressure.

1. Create your profile
   Enter your email, tap the link we send you, pick a username. No password to remember. Add a photo if you like.
2. Pick a featured class
   Only classes marked as featured are playable — expect six to ten a show, mostly on the big evening sessions.
3. Place the top six
   Tap horses into slots 1 through 6 in the order you think they will finish. All 6 are needed before a card counts as submitted.
4. Change your mind as often as you like
   Cards stay open from the moment the entries go up. Reorder them over breakfast, redo them at the in-gate — right up until the class locks.
5. Locked at the lineup
   When the horses line up, an organiser locks the class and every card is final. No late edits, no arguing with the ring steward.
6. Watch the points land
   Placings are posted as they are announced, then confirmed by the show office. Your card scores itself the moment they go in.

Scoring

Position matters. The right horse in the wrong slot is worth nothing — that is the whole game.

What does “pending” mean?

Placings go up as the announcer calls them, tagged pending. They already count toward your score. Once the show office confirms them the tag comes off. If a placing is corrected, every card re-scores itself — nothing to redo.

What happens to a scratched horse?

It stays on the entry list, crossed out, and cannot be picked. If it was already in your card, swap it out before the class locks.

How do the leaderboards work?

Two of them: overall for the whole show, and one for each day. Ties share a place. Your own row is highlighted so you never have to hunt for it.

What does it cost?

Nothing. It is free to play, and it always will be. Prizes are swag from our sponsors, handed over at the ring — the app never touches money.
